Two people taken to hospital after vehicle collision in Norman

NORMAN, Okla — Fire, medical and police crews responded to an injury vehicle collision in Norman.

Around 11:30 p.m. Saturday, a 2006 Pontiac was traveling eastbound on Franklin Road when the vehicle left the roadway and rolled multiple times.

The driver of the vehicle was transported to the Norman Regional Hospital E.R. for treatment.

A passenger in the vehicle was transported to OU Medical Center in critical condition. A third passenger was not injured.

No other vehicles were involved in the collision.

The identity of the driver and passengers is being withheld at this time, police said.

As a result of the accident, Franklin Road is currently closed between 96th NE and 108th NE.

Police said the collision remains under investigation.
