State agents investigating death of Oklahoma inmate
CADDO COUNTY, Okla. – The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation is investigating the death of an inmate.
On April 4th, officials say Darius Randell Robinson, 41, was caught trying to escape from his Caddo County jail cell.
When jailers attempted to restrain him, Robinson stopped breathing, state investigators say.
Jail staff attempted CPR and resuscitated Robinson, but he later died at an Anadarko hospital.
A medical examiner will perform an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.
Robinson had been in jail since April 1, 2016 when he was arrested on four child support warrants.
