Human remains discovered in Eastern Oklahoma

HUGHES COUNTY, Okla. – Human remains have been discovered near Wetumka, Oklahoma.

The discovery was made in a wooded area west of the town in Hughes County.

The remains are those of an average size male subject.

According to authorities, the remains have been in the area for an extended period of time.

The Hughes County Sheriff’s Office, along with investigators from the Oklahoma Medical Examiner’s office are on scene.

Authorities are asking the public’s help in identifying any missing person in the surrounding areas as well as those who may have not been reported missing.
