Multiple apartment units damaged in S.W. Oklahoma City fire

OKLAHOMA CITY – Multiple apartment units were damaged in a fire in southwest Oklahoma City Tuesday.

Around 9:50 a.m., firefighters were called to the Penn Grand Apartments in the 3700 block of S. Pennsylvania.

When crews arrived, they saw flames shooting out of the apartment.

Fire officials believe the fire started in a downstairs apartment and spread to units above.

Firefighters say they were able to quickly knock down the fire.

Officials say eight units were damaged.

Fortunately, the residents were all able to make it out of their apartments safely.

One person was evaluated on scene for smoke inhalation.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
