Rob Neu on Flashpoint

OKLAHOMA CITY – A meeting to discuss the future of the Oklahoma City Public Schools superintendent is expected to begin on Thursday evening.

On Monday, sources confirmed to NewsChannel 4 that Oklahoma City Public Schools Superintendent Rob Neu told board members that he would be resigning from that position.

Neu and most of the board members were at a conference in Boston at the time of the reports.

On Tuesday, Neu released a statement, saying he had not resigned from the district.

“I have not resigned. I am very disappointed that this was reported in the news media. I have no further comment at this time.”

A meeting with the board is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. on Thursday to address the topic, according to district officials.
