Tens of thousands of dollars raised by local business to help feed hungry Oklahoma children

OKLAHOMA CITY-- Oklahomans dug deep to help the Regional Food bank by participating in the 'Month and Day of Giving' sponsored by Jersey Mike's.

Charlie Brown with and Angie Doss joined the Freedom 43 KAUT Rise and Shine.

Customers came in a raised  a total of $49,358.30. Charlie had a surprise for Angie when he decided a round number like $50,000.00 sounded better so he wrote a personal check to make up the rest.

1 in 4 Oklahoma children don't know where their next meal is coming from and these donations will go to the Food For Kids program at the food bank.

Every $200.00 raised provides meals for children for an entire school year.
