One person injured after shooting behind N.W. Oklahoma City department store

OKLAHOMA CITY - Police say one person was shot after a shooting in northwest Oklahoma City.

Just after 5 p.m. Sunday, police were called to the 3000 block of N.W. 59th St. behind a department store in reference to shots fired.

When officers arrived, they learned one person had been shot and transported to a local hospital by a private vehicle.

Officers determined there was a struggle between the victim and an unknown suspect behind the Gordmans department store.

During the altercation, police say the victim sustained a gunshot wound to the leg.

The alleged shooter is not in custody at this time. A description has not been released.

Police are still investigating.
