OKLAHOMA CITY - The Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon is special to a lot of Oklahomans.

On Sunday, it was a beautiful morning to run the race but a surprise was in store for one woman.

Terry Smith, a KFOR director, decided to run the half marathon with his family and his girlfriend, Denise.

However, Terry had something up his sleeve when he stopped to talk to NewsChannel 4's Chellie Mills.

"Denise, you couldn't ask for a more beautiful morning for something like this, could you?" Chellie Mills said.

"It's gorgeous, it's absolutely beautiful," Denise said.

"Is there anything that could make this better?" Chellie asked.

"I don't know?" Denise said.

"Terry, I don't know. What do you think?" Chellie asked.

"Alright, Denise. I fell in love with you the day that I met you. No one has ever held my heart like you and I can't imagine living my life without you. Will you marry me?" Terry Smith said.

Denise was caught completely off guard but she said yes!

Congratulations Terry and Denise!
