Norman construction

NORMAN, Okla. – Traffic in Norman is about to get worse as construction along I-35 continues.

The Oklahoma Department of Transportation says the next phase of the widening project along I-35 is “the most challenging.”

On Tuesday, April 26, the Lindsey St. bridge over I-35 will be closed until the Single Point Urban Interchange is completed in 2017.

All I-35 on and off-ramps at Lindsey St. will also be closed.

Organizers suggest people heading to the University of Oklahoma use the on and off ramps at Hwy 9 East.

Beginning Tuesday, SH-9 East will provide easy access between the Ed Noble Parkway and 24th Ave. S.W.
