OKLAHOMA CITY – The Children’s Center Rehabilitation Hospital is recognizing their staff and patients this month with Superhero Week!

As part of their capital campaign, the hospital is hoping to raise $50,000 over Superhero Week for their building expansion.

The Director of Communications and Marketing of the hospital, Melissa Richey, stopped by Rise and Shine to talk with us about the week!

In honor of National Superhero Day on Thursday April 28th, the Hospital is asking the community to unleash its inner superhero.

There are three ways you can be a Superhero.

The first way is to donate.

The Children's Center Rehabilitation Hospital has been issued a $2 million challenge grant by The J.E. and L.E. Mabee Foundation of Tulsa, Oklahoma; however, to qualify, the Hospital has to raise another $3 million by this summer.

The second way you can 'help-save-the-day' is to become a volunteer.

The Hospital is always looking for people who are willing to volunteer with patients throughout the year.

Finally, the last way you can 'swoop-in and be a hero' is to pray for the Hospital`s patients, families and staff.
