Residents along Lake Chickasha may be forced to move

CHICKASHA, Okla. – People who rent lots on Lake Chickasha are upset after learning they may have to move.

Some residents say they have rented lots for decades.

The city of Chickasha wants to get rid of all leases along the lakeshore.

Lake Chickasha is a public park and Chickasha City Manager Alan Guard wants it opened up to more residents.

There are 80 non-permanent structures at the lake including mobile homes and trailers.
