EL RENO, Okla. – Authorities arrested two metro men after an  undercover investigation.

Officials with the Canadian County Sheriff’s Office say 28-year-old Daniel Byrd was arrested Tuesday after a two-month long investigation.

Byrd was taken into custody after he allegedly confessed to talking to a 14-year-old Canadian County girl. In reality, he was speaking with an undercover deputy posing as an underage girl.

Deputies say Byrd sent explicit messages and also forwarded multiple graphic photographs of himself to the undercover deputy.

Officers say Byrd told the undercover deputy on multiple occasions that he wanted to have sex with her.

In another case, deputies say 34-year-old Johnathan Sullivan placed an ad on Craigslist looking for “any female” for sex.

Sullivan allegedly told an undercover deputy that age didn’t matter and was ready for different types of sex.

Deputies say Sullivan engaged in multiple episodes of phone sex with the undercover deputy, after which he was arrested.

“The successes we’ve experienced in taking these predators out of society is a testament to the dedication and commitment of the personnel working at the Canadian County Sheriff’s Office,” said Chris West, Canadian County Undersheriff.

Byrd and Sullivan were arrested on multiple counts of soliciting sex with a minor.
