NORMAN, Okla. – Severe storms brought tornadoes, heavy rain and hail to central and southern parts of Oklahoma on Friday.

On Friday afternoon, residents in Norman were told to get in their storm shelters as a dangerous storm moved through the area.

Hail the size of golf balls damaged vehicles near the Riverwind Casino, and troopers with the Oklahoma Highway Patrol were forced to close I-35 due to the dangers associated with the storm.

As the storm passed through the area, residents were left with flooding along local streets.

Fortunately, it seems Norman did not suffer any significant damage from the storms.
