Suspicious package found in downtown OKC

OKLAHOMA CITY – A suspicious package may cause some trouble for drivers in downtown Oklahoma City.

Shortly before 2:15 p.m., officers were called to a report of a suspicious package outside the Chase Bank, near Broadway and Robert S. Kerr Ave.

Police say an employee found the bag outside of the bank on the sidewalk.

Right now, no threats have been called in, but traffic is shutdown in the area.

At this point, Broadway is closed between Robert S. Kerr Ave. and N.W. 4th St., so drivers may need to find an alternate route.

The bomb squad is on scene.
