MADISON COUNTY, Ala. - In the span of just 48 hours, three children in Alabama became orphans.

Jennifer and Toby Norsworthy had three children together, ranging from 6-years-old to 11-years-old, and were considered the perfect family. Jennifer also had three children before marrying Toby.

However, tragedy struck in the morning hours of April 22.

According to WHNT, Jennifer died from a blood clot at just 40-years-old.

"Toby loved Jennifer," said Ricky Self, an associate pastor at the couple's church. "She was his world and so he was, of course, heartbroken when she passed away."

Self says that many people from the church flocked to the family's home after Jennifer's death.

They had no idea the unthinkable would happen again.

Roughly 48 hours after Jennifer's death, Self told WHNT that he received a call about an ambulance in the driveway of the Norsworthy's home.

"I just decided to drive over there and that's when Toby passed away of a heart attack in his sleep," Self said.

Toby was just 38-years-old.

"Right now, it's painful and it hurts," Self said. "But one day we will be able to see them again and that's what we're hanging our hats on."

Pineview Baptist Church is accepting donations for the children and a GoFundMe account has been set up for them.
