LOGAN COUNTY, Okla. - Officials in Logan County are searching for two men suspected in the murder of another man.

It happened early Monday morning in a rural area near Charter Oak Rd. and Midwest Blvd.

Investigators said the victim was stabbed and then died a short time later.

Deputies said the victim and his girlfriend were staying at the home of a friend.

That man also allowed two other men to also stay at the home.

Investigators said the homeowner left Sunday night, just hours before the two men and the victim got into some sort of fight.

“We believe it was a possible robbery attempt,” said Det. Greg Valencia with the Logan County Sheriff’s Office.

Valencia said the men may have been trying to steal the victim’s truck.

At some point, the victim was stabbed.

Investigators said he tried to leave but collapsed in the yard and died.

Deputies said the suspects then ran off.

“It was actually the victim’s girlfriend who called initially on a cellphone and then using one of the neighbor’s phones,” Valencia said.

The alleged suspects are still on the loose.

Investigators said the homeowner has not returned to the scene yet.

They hope to find him in order to find more answers about the suspects.

The name of the victim has not been released, because investigators are still working to contact his family.

If you have any information on the crime, you are asked to contact the Logan County Sheriff’s Office.
