OKLAHOMA CITY – Authorities are searching for a man who allegedly punched a child in the face outside an Oklahoma City mall.

On Saturday, officers were called to the 2500 block of W. Memorial Rd. to an assault that occurred outside the J. C. Penney department store.

According to the arrest affidavit, a 15-year-old boy said he was sitting on a swing with his sister when he was attacked.

The victim said that he overheard a man say to his girlfriend that it was dark outside.

According to the police report, the victim says he repeated that statement to his sister, saying that they had been in the mall ‘forever.’

“The next thing he knew was that he had been punched in the jaw on the left side of his face, and he had been unconscious for a short time,” the report reads.

The alleged suspect is described as a white man, standing 5’10” tall and weighing 160 pounds. A witness says the man had curly brown hair in a ponytail and was wearing a white or tan shirt.
