ENID, Okla. – An Oklahoma man is behind bars after allegedly hitting two pedestrians early Saturday morning.

Around 12:05 a.m., police in Enid were called to a hit-and-run after a bicyclist was hit by an SUV.

The bicyclist received minor injuries and refused medical treatment.

Just eight minutes later, officers were called to another hit-and-run.

Witnesses say the 15-year-old victim was walking along the curb line with a friend when a white SUV hit the victim.

Police say witnesses also saw the driver of the SUV stop about a block away, close the hood on the SUV, get back inside and flee the area.

Authorities say the 15-year-old girl died from her injuries.

Five minutes later at 12:18 a.m., police received a call about a white SUV on fire in the 700 block of Overland Trail.

Witnesses reported seeing a white man wearing shorts, a white tank top and no shoes running from the vehicle.

Police were able to track the vehicle to Alynn Collins.

Investigators say the SUV had DNA evidence around the hood from the fatality accident.

When officers arrived at Collins’ home, they found him undressed in bed, as if he had been sleeping.

However, authorities say they noticed more DNA evidence on the bedding and took Collins into custody.

Collins was arrested for leaving the scene of an injury accident and leaving the scene of an accident causing bodily harm or death.
