Two inmates discovered hanged in Oklahoma County Jail

OKLAHOMA CITY – Jailers say two inmates were found dead inside the Oklahoma County Jail.

On Friday, a jailer discovered 30-year-old Joseph Carter Wilson hanging from his cell.

Wilson was arrested for numerous felony complaints including assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, indecent exposure, assault and battery on a police officer and a plan to perform act of violence involving serious bodily injury.

Wilson was taken to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Two days later, jailers discovered 28-year-old Cody Joe McDonald hanging  inside his jail cell

McDonald was also pronounced dead at a nearby hospital.

McDonald was booked on eight felony complaints including drugs and weapons charges.

The medical examiner’s office will determine their cause of death.
