GARVIN COUNTY, Okla. – The Garvin County Sheriff’s Office is looking for several suspects who they believe burglarized a home near White Bead multiple times.

Ron Wood has lived at his home on County Road 1550 in Garvin County all of his life.

"People are pretty much close-knit out here and stuff, and we watch everybody else's property and stuff,” Wood said.

That’s why Wood says he was shocked to hear about several burglaries just down the road from his house, something that rarely happens.

However, he said he’s prepared for anything.

"My good old dog here, she lets me know when somebody strange is around here. So, we watch close,” Wood said.

Garvin County Sheriff Larry Rhodes says the two incidents happened at the same house and they believe they’re related.

The first one happened back on May 11.

"In that burglary, we had a firearms collection taken from this house, as well as a coin collection; those were the most unique items,” Rhodes said.

The alleged thieves came back a second time on May 25, stealing several air compressors, a vehicle transmission and air conditioning units.

Rhodes says the owners of the home don’t live there full-time and he thinks the suspects may have noticed.

"Residences like this where the owner may come for a few days and may leave for a few days, those are certainly susceptible to being victims of crimes,” Rhodes said.

The door of the house was also left unlocked.

During the investigation at the scene, Rhodes says they found DNA that they hope will lead them to the suspects.
