DUNCAN, Okla. – Authorities say they have captured a burglary suspect after he made a strange mistake.

According to the Norman Transcript, police dubbed the man the ‘inquisitive bandit’ after he was caught red-handed by a victim.

Last month, officers arrested 21-year-old Michael Kenneth Huff after a woman woke up to the sound of a stranger rummaging through her kitchen.

When the victim found the suspect in her home, she says she asked him, “Who are you?”

Court records obtained by the Duncan Banner say Huff responded by saying, “Who are you?” and then running out the back door.

Huff was captured a short time later and is now facing more charges for a burglary that occurred in April.

The Norman Transcript reports that Huff allegedly tried to sell stolen property back to a victim.

“[The victim] advised he received pictures from a friend stating the property was for sale,” the affidavit reads. “[The victim] advised… the pictures came from a Michael Huff. Huff met [the victim] on the porch and started waving a knife at him and then ran into the house and out the back door.”

Huff is now facing charges of first-degree burglary after two or more felonies and knowingly concealing stolen property for those cases.
