There are multiple reports the Oklahoma City Thunder will hire Adrian Griffin as an assistant coach to fill the spot vacated by Monty Williams.

Griffin has been an NBA assistant coach since 2008 with three different teams, first with Milwaukee, then Chicago, and last season with the Orlando Magic.

Griffin is a native of Wichita, Kansas, and played collegiately at Seton Hall.

He played nine years in the NBA with Boston, Dallas, Houston, Chicago, and Seattle.

Monty Williams is no longer on the Thunder staff after the death of his wife in a car accident in February.
