Body found in southeast Oklahoma City

OKLAHOMA CITY – Authorities have identified the body of a man who was found in southeast Oklahoma City last week.

On Thursday, police say a driver called dispatchers after spotting something that looked like a body along the side of the road near S.E. 59th St. and Choctaw Rd.

When officers arrived at the scene, they say they found a body that had been there “quite some time.”

The victim was identified as 40-year-old Gregory Wayne Washburn.

At this point, Washburn’s cause and manner of death are still pending.
