4 minors in custody after high-speed chase through metro

MUSTANG, Okla. – Four minors are in custody after allegedly stealing a vehicle and leading police on a high-speed chase.

A Mustang police officer was investigating suspicious activity when he reportedly saw four people get into a pickup and drive away at a high rate of speed.

The suspects led police on a high-speed chase with speeds reaching 70 miles per hour.

Police say the truck pulled into the parking lot of Prairie View Elementary near S.W. 59th and County Line Rd. and the four suspects got out of the vehicle and ran away.

A helicopter and canine unit were brought in to search the neighborhood.

One of the kids returned home and his parents call police.

The others were caught in the neighborhood.

Police say their ages range from 12 to 16 years old.
