Oklahoma man found guilty on rape, murder charges

OKLAHOMA CITY – A jury has found a man guilty of raping and assaulting two women in the Village, killing one of them.

47-year-old Albert Johnson was arrested for the June 2014 crimes.

Police received a call about an assault at a home on Lakeside Dr.

Once there, they found two women in the home with severe injuries.

They were rushed to the hospital, but one woman, 25-year-old Rachel Rogers, died.

The jury took 25 minutes to find Johnson guilty on 11 counts, including rape, kidnapping and murder.

He was sentenced to 10 life sentences for the rape and kidnapping charges.

Sentencing for the murder charge will be held Thursday.

He is eligible for the death penalty.
