STILLWATER, Okla. – It seems Oklahoma State head football coach Mike Gundy will be sticking around for a while.

The Oklahoma A&M Board of Regents announced on Friday that OSU coach Mike Gundy was given a contract extension through 2021.

“Coach Gundy runs the program the right way,” Joe Hall, the Board of Regents chairman, said in a statement to the Stillwater NewsPress. ” We appreciate the integrity of the football operations from top to bottom. He is unwilling to compromise on the high standards he sets for his coaches, staff and players, and he leads by example. We were reminded earlier this year of the importance of having a coach who does things the right way and puts the interest of the university and team first.”

According to the newspaper, Gundy’s original contract was through 2019.
