ARLINGTON, Va.- Sgt. First Class Maxiniliano Guerra had been deployed for eight months, waking up at 3 in the morning in Kuwait to read his sons a bed time story in Virginia.

So when he made it home just in time for Father’s Day, he knew he wanted to do something special for 7-year-old Lucas and six-year-old Sebastian.

Guerra¬†decided to surprise the boys by showing up to their school assembly, dressed in the mascot’s costume.

The boys’ mother Jenna was “just so glad the family is together again”.

Guerra has served for fourteen years and credits moments like surprising his sons as “what it’s all about”.
