NEW YORK – Another Oklahoma starlet is set to put her talent on display for the world to see in a new live musical.
In 2013, Oklahoma country music star Carrie Underwood broke records when she took the stage for “Sound of Music Live.”
The program recorded 18.6 million viewers, making it the highest viewed Thursday night entertainment program since the series finale of “Frazier.”
Now, another Oklahoman will put her skills to the test in front of millions of live viewers.
On Tuesday, Kristen Chenoweth announced that she has been cast as ‘Velma Von Tussle’ in “NBC’s Hairspray Live,” which will air in December.
