EDMOND, Okla. – Authorities in Edmond arrested two men accused of breaking into several cars across the metro.

Overnight, Edmond police arrested 21-year-old Kevin Bottler and 23-year-old Ryan Gattenby after they were found with a vehicle full of stolen property.

One of the suspects told officers that they hit cars in Copperfield, Parklane, Chisholm Lake and possibly in Oklahoma City.

Now, officials are warning residents to lock their cars after hearing a statement by one of the accused thieves.

“Why bother with locked cars when there’s so many unlocked?” one of the men reportedly said.

So far, police say they have five victims, but there may be more.

All of the victims left their vehicles unlocked.
