Driver who allegedly led police on high-speed chase crashes into ditch, suspect still on the loose

OKLAHOMA CITY – A driver who allegedly tried to flee law enforcement in a high-speed chase escaped after crashing into a ditch.

Around midnight, officers attempted to pull over a pickup for erratic driving near S.E. 29th and Eastern.

However, the driver refused to stop and led police on a chase that reached speeds up to 100 miles per hour.

At one point, police officers actually backed off for the public’s safety.

The driver ended up crashing near S.E. 15th and Grand.

Luckily, no one was injured.

Unfortunately, the driver was able to escape and remains on the loose.

When authorities ran the plates to attempt to identify the driver, the truck came back as stolen.

Officials are investigating.
