OKLAHOMA CITY - Authorities are  investigating an officer-involved shooting in northwest Oklahoma City.

Shortly before 5 p.m., emergency crews were called to N.W. 23rd St. and Classen Blvd. on a reported officer-involved shooting.

The shooting occurred on a city bus near the CVS Pharmacy and Rainbow Records.

Police say this started near NW 11th and Walker on a vandalism call.

Numerous calls to police were made and the suspect then reportedly carjacked a vehicle which took him to NW 23rd and Classen.

That driver saw a police vehicle and stopped to get help.

From there the suspect ran and jumped on the city bus where he and officers got into a 'scuffle.'

There were reports the suspect had a knife.

A Police officer spokesman says during that struggle the suspect was shot and was pronounced dead at the scene.

No officers were seriously injured.

Drivers are encouraged to avoid the area at this time.
