Authorities identify inmate who was found dead at Oklahoma County Jail
OKLAHOMA CITY – Authorities have identified the inmate who was found dead in his cell at the Oklahoma County Jail over the weened.
Saturday morning, officials say jailers discovered Robert Vinson Hollis, 60, dead inside his cell.
Hollis had been in jail since June 22nd, when he was arrested for possession of a controlled dangerous substance.
Officials told KFOR that the man was confined to a cell by himself and appears to have committed suicide by hanging.
His body will be transported to the medical examiner’s office for an autopsy.
The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation is investigating the death.
