YUKON, Okla. - A 22-year-old man was arrested after Canadian County Sheriff’s investigators allege he’s been preying on young girls for weeks at a Yukon skating rink.

Authorities said the suspect, David Haddock, confessed to having a sexual relationship with a teenage girl.

Yukon police arrested the 22-year-old Thursday morning after he was found at Yukon on Wheels, hanging out with two young girls around 3 a.m.

"It's our experience that adults that prey on young children tend to hang out or be affiliated with areas that the kids hang out," said Undersheriff Chris West with the Canadian County Sheriff's Office.

Yukon police originally arrested him on a complaint of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

"He had actually purchased alcohol and provided alcohol to this child and one other that was with him," West said.

Following his arrest, the Canadian County Sheriff's Office investigated further.

Deputies discovered the alleged relationship began in early May through text messages.

"There's no good reason why a 22-year-old male should have a dating relationship with a 14-year-old child," West said.

Haddock confessed to meeting the girl at her house on two separate occasions.

Investigators said he admitted to kissing the victim and performing sexual acts on her.

"We wish that there were no child predators, that everybody loved children and wanted to protect them, but the fact of the matter is that there are dangerous people out there that would love to get their hands on your kid and ruin their lives forever," West said.

Haddock was booked into the Canadian County Jail and is facing charges of lewd acts with a minor and soliciting sex with a minor by use of technology.

His bond has been set to $100,000.
