STILLWATER, Okla. - Police in Stillwater say a housekeeper was doing a lot more than the cleaning.

They say she was also cleaning out cash as well as heirloom jewelry from a 76-year-old woman, but the victim in the case did something prosecutors say helped put the alleged suspect behind bars.

"Exploitation of elderly cases are very difficult to obtain because the elderly, children and animals have the weakest voices as victims,” Payne County District Attorney Laura Thomas said.

However, that was not what happened in the latest case.

The Payne County district attorney said the elderly victim helped build her own case when she suspected her housekeeper, Wendi Walling-Mohiuddin, of stealing from her.

"The victim kept $100 bills in her bathroom drawer, and she kept noticing something missing, and she also noticed various pieces of jewelry missing,” Thomas said.

That is when the victim decided to do one of the most proactive and helpful things she could do. She bought a surveillance camera and hid it inside her bathroom.

"She discovered the defendant taking the money,” Thomas said. “So we have video proof of the defendant taking the money."

However, there are no pictures of the jewelry, and that's what the victim wants back most of all.

Authorities say the housekeeper had been working for the woman for years and cleaned houses for others as well.

Walling-Mohiuddin is now charged with one felony count of exploitation of an elderly person.

Authorities believe there could be more victims and ask anyone who employed Walling-Mohiuddin to contact Stillwater police.

As for the missing jewelry, officials released the following descriptions:
