Authorities report looking for a ‘suspicious person’ who may have been armed.
DALLAS– Dallas Police Headquarters has been under a lock down since approximately 4 p.m. on Saturday, after receiving threats that are police are taking seriously, according to WFAA.
Dallas Police said in a statement early Saturday evening, “The Dallas Police Department received an anonymous threat against law enforcement across the city and has taken precautionary measures to heightened security.”
Sources say that following threats from a Houston based organization claiming to be armed, SWAT was deployed to the headquarters.
SWAT vehicles can be seen surrounding the perimeter of the DPD Headquarters.
A city-wide roll call has been started by officers to check on the welfare of all Dallas police officers.
