OKLAHOMA CITY- Tinker Air Force base is using Twitter and Facebook to caution awareness during Sunday’s Black Lives Matter rallies.

The Black Lives Matter protests are both scheduled for Sunday, July 9th.

One begins at 5:30p.m. at the Harkins Theater in Bricktown and the other at 8 p.m. at Lake Hefner.

Tinker warned that, while no threat has been made against military members, “after the recent attack on Dallas police officers at a similar rally, a collateral threat may exist”.

They urged members to avoid the area, review protection measures, do not dress in uniform, and to not escalate a situation or bring discredit to the Air Force.
