OKLAHOMA CITY – A 14-year-old Oklahoma City boy brought an audience to their feet with his emotional performance on a popular talent show.

Campbell Walker Fields is only 14-years-old and decided to play Christina Perri’s “A Thousand Years” on America’s Got Talent.

Fields was adopted by a gay couple, but has always wondered about his mother.

His fathers say they know that his drive for success is partly due to his wish to make his mother proud.

“I’m following my dreams and I’m able to do that because of what she did,” Fields said.

His performance brought the audience, including Heidi Klum, to their feet.

“You’re great and you have to be really proud of yourself and I bet you your mother’s listening to you right now,” Mel B. said, bringing Campbell to tears.

Even though he didn’t make it to the next round, he won the Internet over with his voice and story.
