OKLAHOMA CITY – The Oklahoma City Zoo is asking for the public’s help in naming its newest addition.
Born on June 25, 2016, to mom Pearl and dad Xander, the zoo is ready to name its female California sea lion pup.

Both parents are rescues who have been cherished animal ambassadors since their arrival at the zoo.
The zoo is asking that name suggestions contain the letters P or X, or both, to honor the pup’s beloved parents.
Everyone is welcome to submit name suggestions now through July 27 on Facebook using the #okczoo.
Nominations will be reviewed and narrowed down to the top three names, along with a keeper’s choice, for our final naming contest.
In a news release, the zoo said guests can see the pup swim in the zoo’s sea lion presentation pool on Saturdays and Sundays from 3 – 3:30 p.m.
