All-clear after suspicious package reported at Boeing facility

Update: Officials have given the all-clear.  Employees have been told they can return to the building.

The fire department tested the substance and found nothing wrong with it.

 

OKLAHOMA CITY – Officials are investigating a suspicious package at the Boeing facility in Oklahoma City.

Fire crews say an employee at Boeing opened a package that had been delivered and found a yellow, gel-like substance inside.

The Oklahoma City Fire Department is on scene with their Hazardous Materials unit to investigate to see what the substance may be.

Evacuations have taken place as a precautionary measure.

The Boeing facility in Oklahoma City opened earlier this month.

KFOR crews are working to gather more information.
