NORMAN, Okla. - OU running back Joe Mixon is being sued by the female student he allegedly punched in the face on Campus Corner in Norman.

It's been almost two years since OU running back Joe Mixon was suspended for punching Amelia Molitor in a restaurant on Campus Corner.

Molitor told officers the argument started outside of Pickleman’s Deli and stemmed from a homosexual slur Mixon directed towards her friend.

Molitor suffered several broken bones in her face, and Mixon entered an Alford plea to the misdemeanor assault charges.

On Friday, July 22, Molitor filed a civil federal lawsuit against Mixon in northern California, Mixon's permanent residence.

Molitor is seeking an unknown amount of damages for negligence, willful and wonton misconduct, and intentional infliction of emotional distress.

She is seeking compensation for her medical expenses and compensation for "severe anxiety, embarrassment, depression, humiliation and emotional distress," caused by the incident.
