Gamers invade Bricktown to play Pokemon Go

OKLAHOMA CITY-- About 1500 people flocked to Bricktown Friday night, gathering to play Pokemon Go.

Pokemon Go, if you don't know, is an augmented reality, location based game where you capture, train, and battle creatures called Pokemon.

Super Bitcoin organized the event to bring gamers together.

BC Phillips said "We thought maybe two, three hundred people would show up. And within about a week it had exploded and there were thousands of people. And we're like I guess we're doing this now."

Newschannel 4 spoke to gamers  at the event who said they enjoy the game's great fitness benefits and extra socialization.
