UPDATE: Silver alert canceled after man driving from Texas to Oklahoma found

UPDATE: Officials canceled the silver alert on Tuesday morning after Mongold was located.

 

TYRONE, Okla. – Authorities are searching for a man who was last heard from heading to Oklahoma.

The Texas County Sheriff’s Office issued a silver alert for 79-year-old Gerald Mongold.

Mongold is a white male, standing 5’6″ tall and weighing 200 pounds. He has white hair and blue eyes.

Police say Mongold was last heard from around 11:30 a.m. on Monday. He was leaving Dallas, Texas and heading to Tyrone, Oklahoma.

However, he hasn’t been heard from since.

Mongold was last seen wearing a tan, blue and white plaid shirt, tan pants, glasses and a Korea veteran hat.

He may be driving a gold 2005 Chevy Tahoe.
