FBI special agent to be in charge of OKC division named

Kathryn Peterson has been named as the special agent in charge of the Oklahoma City Division of the FBI by Director James B. Comey. Ms. Peterson most recently served in the Inspection Division at FBI Headquarters.

Peterson joined the FBI in 1990 and worked in counterterrorism, gang, drug, and organized crime matters.

She has held leadership positions in the Chicago, Albany, Counterintelligence, Counterterrorism, and Inspection Divisions. Peterson was also a member of Milwaukee Division’s SWAT team.

Before joining the FBI she served in the United States Army as an intelligence analyst.

Peterson will take over her new position in late September.
