GUTHRIE, Okla. – While Pokemon Go has taken the world by storm, not everyone is a fan of the craze.

Police in Guthrie say they have tried to warn residents about the dangers of playing and driving.

Now, officers say they have faced a new challenge.

“You just really should NOT be driving a vehicle while under the influence of ANY type of intoxicants while you attempt to catch Pokemon. They are awfully smart little buggers and will often take full advantage of your intoxicated state. They will often try to get you to crash your car or order the two of everything on the entire drive-through menu at What-A-Burger!” Guthrie police wrote on their Facebook page.

Police officers also warn about walking while intoxicated, adding that Pokemon may try and lure you into oncoming traffic.

Police say if you’ve had something to drink, simply use common sense and be responsible.
