Norman, OK-- Liz Farrar is proud of her thrift shop, ‘Donate a Miracle’.

"We've only been in this location for two months, so it's a work in progress”, says Farrar as she shows us around what was once a church.

Underneath stained glass windows, Farrar shows us rows of glass cases with antiques and other collectibles.

Ferrar says she was nudged by her faith to raise money for the needy through sales of knick-knacks, and clothing.

"God has put me here, and just surrounded me with wonderful people”, says Farrar who also employs homeless folks to work at the shop.

Everything in the store is donated, and all proceeds go toward helping those less fortunate.

"We'll see people counting out change and, I tell the girls, 'no, if you see them counting out change give it to them”, says Farrar.

Liz is particularly proud of a row of shelves in the basement stocked with toiletries, and basics like toilet paper and paper towels.

The items on those shelves are supplemented with coupons cut by a group of volunteers.

It’s Liz’ giving spirit that prompted her friend Kris Partin to nominate her for First Fidelity Bank’s Pay It Forward.

"She never asks anybody for anything, but the minute you say, 'I need something', she's right there”, says Partin.

Partin met Farrar through her own charity work with her floral business. Partin provides free floral arrangements to area nursing homes, and care facilities.

First Fidelity Bank’s Brian Baxter could not wait to help us honor Farrar.

"Kris, we want to thank you for nominating Liz for all that she does for the community, and on behalf of First Fidelity Bank, we would like to present you with four hundred dollars to Pay it Forward”, says Baxter.

After winding our way through a maze of halls at ‘Donate a Miracle’, we found Farrar putting away recently donated items.

"Liz, I'm Marianne Rafferty with Newschannel 4, and your good friend Kris here, 'Kris come on up!”, has nominated you for First Fidelity Bank's Pay It Forward for all you do for everyone in the community in need.”

Farrar, overcome by emotion, needed a minute to soak it all in.

"I never expected this”, Farrar says with tears rolling down her face.

She wasted no time, immediately letting us know what she would do with the money.

"I was not expecting this, but it's going right back in to buy more stuff”, says Farrar.

Partin knew her friend would be thrilled to give the money back to those who really need it.

"She finds a need, she's always looking for something to help, or someone to help”, says Partin.
