The Thunder have signed rookie forward Domantas Sabonis to a contract. Per Thunder policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Sabonis was the 11th pick of the 2016 NBA draft by the Orlando Magic. He was acquired by the Thunder in a draft night trade that sent Serge Ibaka to Orlando in exchange for his draft rights, Victor Oladipo and Ersan Ilyasova.

Sabons is the child of pro basketball hall of fame inductee Arvydas Sabonis.

Domantas averaged nearly 18 points, 12 rebounds and 2 assists per game during his sophomore season at Ganzaga. Zags head coach Mark Few called the 6-11 forward one of the hardest working players he’s ever coached.

Sabonis is currently playing in the Rio Summer Games with his native Lithuanian national team.
