OKLAHOMA CITY - It is going to be a beautiful weekend, so it is the perfect time for a road trip.

The Museum of the Great Plains in Lawton is a great place to learn about the natural history of the region if you want to stay indoors.

It's time for the Blanchard Bluegrass Festival, which begins Friday at 6 p.m. with gospel night and continues on Saturday with traditional bluegrass.

The festival is in Lions Park in Blanchard from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and is free of charge.

If cars are your thing, don't miss the Village Lions Club Annual Car Show, which will be held on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Duffner Park in Oklahoma City.

Expect hot rods, muscle cars and classics, along with food vendors and kids activities.

On Saturday, there will be an unusual ceremony at Firelake Arena in Shawnee.

They will be retiring one of the largest legal handheld American flags in the nation.

The ceremony is at 2 p.m. and will include a drum team and Native American dancers, followed by an Elvis tribute show.

There will also be a car show and activities outside.

Due to the Olympics, Discover Oklahoma will air at 10 p.m. on KAUT.
