CHULA VISTA, Calif. - A man who is charged with assault, kidnapping and domestic abuse claims he is the victim.

Prosecutors say 42-year-old Dorian Chavez Anguiano attacked his girlfriend after an argument on Aug. 6.

In surveillance video from a motel parking lot, Anguiano is seen kicking his girlfriend to the ground. Prosecutors say he also kicked her in the head until she was unconscious, which is when he put her back in the car and took off.

According to FOX 5, hotel workers called police after watching the altercation unfold on the cameras.

When officers arrived at Anguiano's home, the victim was found unconscious and bleeding in his car.

"Simply put- the attack was vicious, brutal and on a defenseless woman on the ground," Deputy District Attorney Ted Fiorito said.

After facing a judge in the case, Anguiano told FOX 5 that he was actually the victim.

"I'm the victim here," he said.
