OKLAHOMA CITY – Two men have been arrested in connection to a murder in northwest Oklahoma City.

Around 9 p.m. Sunday, police were called to reports of a shooting near N.W. 19th St. and Eagle Lane.

When officers arrived, police found 29-year-old Joseph Martin dead at the scene.

Police say Martin was shot to death.

Police initially told KFOR crews that the shooting happened after an altercation over a bicycle.

Police say the victim was meeting up with someone who had stolen his bike and that person shot him.

Authorities said 36-year-old Elijah Evans and 37-year-old Gilbert Terrel confronted Martin in reference to a dispute over property.

During the argument, Martin was shot and killed.

Evans and Terrel were arrested and booked into the Oklahoma County Jail for first degree murder.

This is Oklahoma City’s 48th homicide of 2016.
