HARTFORD, Conn. – Miranda Lambert is known for being one of country music’s sweethearts, and a recent performance was pulling at people’s heartstrings.

While performing in Connecticut, Lambert was singing “The House that Built Me” when she spotted an unusual sign in the crowd.

After realizing what the sign said, she immediately started crying and then held the sign up for the crowd.

“3 combat tours… your voice was the last thing I heard every night. Thank you,” the sign read.
